Is Raducanu About To Win Wimbledon?

In all my years of covering pro tennis I have never heard a player sound as confident as Emma Raducanu is right now.

“I’m just really into it at the moment,” Raducanu told reporters in Eastbourne. “I just love the sport. I love tennis. It’s kind of just taken over me and I’ve really rekindled a light and a fire inside of me. Just very happy and enjoying it a lot.”

“I’m just really grateful to have this feeling again because it’s something I’ve been missing in a way for the last few years,” the 21 year old former US Open champ said. “I haven’t felt this good about my tennis, and just excited about it and passionate for a long, long time.”

Raducanu is ranked 168 in the world right now and has a match record of 11-8 this year. How she has generated such confidence is an intriguing study.

“Now it’s really comforting for me because I’m way less focused on the result because I know with the way that I’m training and the way that I’m competing and fighting on the court, good things are 100 percent going to happen and I have full faith and belief in that now. I can actually say it and mean it at the same time, rather than just saying it.”

It’s stunning to hear Emma has so much confidence right now after she lost her last match last week to Katie Boulter in three sets. Whatever is fueling this confidence surge out of nowhere is actually convincing me she could actually win Wimbledon.

Raducanu seems to know she is a hundred percent certain of having deep runs in Eastbourne and Wimbledon and she’s not afraid to boast about it. She will play American Sloane Stephens tomorrow.

Scoop- Martina just put Ben Rothenberg on his place when it comes to her bieng a transphobe. “You say its off the record, then publish it anyway. Nice to know you care about women. I do.

This is Emma’s current State of Mind story. I’m sure it’s genuine but things can change. Let’s catch up after her match v Sloane ‘Whatever’ Stephens.

Doug, surprising to see the tennis deep state media assets are turning on each other. TO be honest, not even sure Martina really is a she.

Catherine, Emma almost sounds like she knows she’s scripted to win Wimbledon and is flaunting it. Just my honest observation. Will be interesting to see. Her winning Wimbledon or reaching final will certainly break rating$ and attendance and $ponsor record$. There is no basis for her to suddenly have so much confidence, 11-8 on the year and coming off a loss to Boulter.

Scoop – Emma extended Sloane’s losing streak but I’m pretty sure she hasn’t realistic hopes of Wimbledon. She simply hasn’t played enough.

    V. Pegula might be interesting. Jessica to win though.

Catherine, please re-read those quotes by Emma. She sounds like she KNOWS she’s gonna win. She even boasted she’s not just saying it, she MEANS it. She knows something. WTA is a struggling enterprise which needs a big money maker star to maximize revenues. Who else has that starpower at Wimbledon? Not Coco, not Iga, not Rybakina or Sabalenka. Loose lips sink a ship.

Nice and easy win for Emma vs Sloane 64 60. Pegula will be tougher but I like Emma to blast by her.

An interesting article on RF, shows that he is both a hero and a villain. https://www.murraysworld.com/columns/article/20600/
