Nadal Said Tennis Media Always Asks Him The Same Questions

Rafael Nadal said the tennis media asks him the same questions all the time.

The revelation by Rafa was made during a unique interview he did with Babolat and Jack Sock at French Open in 2017 (see interview here)

Sock asked Rafa, “What interview questions are you tired of answering?”… Sock then added his own addition to the question, taking a subtle shot at the lack of tennis media originality, “All of them?”

Rafa pondered his answer and said with his trademark diplomacy and respect, “Not all of them. Some are good ones. After the match is always the same, What do you think of next opponent? Answer is always the same, tough match, hope I play my best. Every day always the same.”

This is another example of an elite player essentially challenging the tennis media to up its game and try to do a better job. Just like Reilly Opelka blasted the tennis media a couple of years ago as “awful, the worst” in pro sports.

Roddick about Novak’s knee injury before Wimbledon:

“The classy thing to do is if you know there is no chance of playing… Is to pull out before the draw is made.”

Roddick about Andy Murray’s back injury before Wimbledon:

“He deserved all the possible benefits, the schedules and everything Wimbledon can do to accommodate him.”

Who can see the bias and hypocrisy?

Yes he played four practice sets this week and the knee held up, vs Sinner Tiafoe and Coria. Great news for the sport and tennis fans.

Israel is bombing three countries now and the tennis establishment is dead silent. The hypocrisy of how they responded to the Ukraine vs Russia conflict a stark contrast. BJK equality? Save Palestine.
